Commuting in Chennai

Submitted by Dr B Shobana

Being a part of this city for the past more than 25 years, I have always cherished commuting through the busy arterial road, the poonamallee high road. Last Sunday, on our way back home in Anna Nagar from the Kaaligambal temple in George Town, I clicked this picture, when namma singara Chennai was awaiting a cloudburst with the three famous heritage landmarks in the same frame- the Ripon buildings, the Victoria public hall and the 230 year old Rajah Sir ramasamy mudaliar choultry. The photo also shows the famous Chennai auto-rickshaws which ply whether it is shining or raining in Chennai.
